About
I have been a sign linguist since 1989, and have been studying sign language linguistics even since. My special interest is in the acquisition of sign language as a first language by deaf and hearing children. Bilingualism and biculturalism are another interest, as well as didactics of sign language teaching, Deaf culture and issues of interpreting.
Sign language of the Netherlands is also called: NGT (Nederlandse Gebarentaal).
